Professional Development Webinar

24.4.2021. – 11h FIONA MAUCHLINE

The learner-centered, collaborative classroom works. We know that. It generates positive  noise, engagement and genuine, memorable learning time. So when the classroom is  reduced to a screen-mediated context, and classmates sit in a grid of little boxes peering   into our living-room, how can we increase opportunities for dynamic, interactive   activities, and effective, learner-driven, collaborative work? If you'd like some tips and   ideas and the answer to that question, come along to this web-event and find out.

After three decades in the ELT classroom, Fiona is a teacher trainer, materials writer and lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, where she teaches ELT Materials Writing on the MA TESOL. Her publications include Motivate and All Clear (Macmillan Education), ETpedia Vocabulary (Pavilion Publishing) and Dive in! (Delta). She has written materials for several   others, including Voices and Straightforward. Fiona is the author of the online booklet using Graded Readers in the Classroom (Macmillan), co-curates ELTpics, and has four   blogs, including Macappella and Take a photo and…, both on the ELT classroom.

She is also the co-founder of EVE: Equal Voices in ELT and a member of the IATEFL   TDSIG committee. Join her on Twitter on Tuesdays for her #SIGTweetMeets and some   friendly ELT chat in Times of Corona…
